Morocco - it simmers with exotic sounds, smells, flavors, and spices. From its souks (markets) to the medinas (ancient walled cities) to the kasbahs (fortified villages/citadels) to the riads (homes built around a courtyard) and to its unique cuisine. The majesty of the snowcapped High Atlas Mountains; the Palmeraie - acre upon acre of stately date palms; and the pristine, virgin, undulating sands of the Sahara. Journey with me to this exotic land, where ancient medieval sights and traditions thrive and endure.

Morocco Sights Uncovered Travel with Tessa (Audible Audio Edition) Tessa Ingel Sights Uncovered Books Reviews
You get a genuine feel for the country and its culture through the vivid descriptions and interesting scenarios the author experiences during her travels. And you can also get a clear sense of her genuine passion for travel, which is contagious.
I'm not sure if I'll ever have the opportunity to travel to Morocco, but this book makes me feel, taste & imagine what it must be like. The words Tessa uses are so colorful & alive, that you're right in the middle of it all. The architecture, the culture & the people all come to life as you read along. Enjoy!
In this short book, Ms. Ingel's strength is her enthusiasm for the beauty of the country and its people. That being said, it is not particularly useful for everything she experiences to be stunning, beautiful, delicious, fragrant or charming. There is precious little context here in terms of history, religion or geography and her time here is very short leaving out major swaths of the country like Rabat, Casablanca, the two coastlines or Agadir. Her descriptions of Fez, Marakesh, Chefchouene, and Aït Benhaddou are very nice. About 10% of the Audible recording at the end is an excerpt from her upcoming book about India and a chance meeting of a wedding procession on the street. That makes no sense.
I loved this book. It makes you feel like you are there and really makes me want to visit Morocco. The tips about the guides and hotels are great. If I ever get there, I would use this to help plan my trip for sure.
If you're looking to uncover the unexpected joys of Morocco this book is for you! Written from in a very personal and relatable style this book is something that can help any traveler create an unforgettable experience when traveling to Morocco. Reading the book makes me feel like I've been there and experienced before I've even travelled! Highly recommend it!

To really get the flavor of a country, you need to get to where the people live - and the more popular the destination the harder it becomes to find those untouched places. Being invited to share the journey with Tessa and Stan is a treat, from the taxi drivers going to remote towns, to getting lost in souks and relishing great meals with chance acquaintances. The book reads like one is a welcome travel companion catching up the end of each day.
